Hello everyone.
We’ve been rather busy this month of July.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us by buying our album or coming to see us play, or both. We’ve been overwhelmed by the hugely positive response the album has received.
Our album launch show was my favourite gig that we’ve played. It was a sell out and I’ve never been at a sweatier in my life. It was the best evening we’ve had and an absolute pleasure from start until finish. Thank you to everyone who made it so special and a massive “cheers!” must got to Come On Gang!, The Scottish Enlightenment, Cancel The Astronauts and Peenko for lending the their talents in one way or another. As for Ian from Have Fun At Dinner…there’s nothing quite like having a handsome young chap bounding about your living room in borrowed leggings. Especially when he’s being watched by a giant John L*slie head. Does anyone know where that head went? His owner misses him very much. Thanks must also go out to Vic and Muslim at the BBC for deciding our album merited the title “Album of the Month” on Radio 1′s BBC Introducing… in Scotland show. We were all absolutely delighted when we heard the news.

We had some very good times in Glasgow, London, Bristol and Leicester, too. A particular plus of our show in Glasgow was being introduced to the music and members of Standard Fare. Their album ‘The Noyelle Beat’ has not been out of my earphones or off of our Stereo when we were on the road since we got our hands on it. It’s flipping brilliant.
Our booker Lee, sent us a very interesting picture on Monday. We were rather chuffed to see our name at the top of a sales chart in The Observer.
We’ve been in the process of booking new shows for a more extensive UK tour in October and we’ve got more shows to announce before then. Details will continue to appear here over the next few weeks. We’ve got some other things that we’ll be doing before then. We can’t quite announce them yet, but we’ll let you know soon.
We’ve just finished recording a session for a certain pair of Scottish Blawg-Bags… That should appear later in the summer. See if you can guess who they are.
I can’t really of anything that wouldn’t count as rambling…so, cheerio for now and thanks for all of your support so far.
keep safe
